La Rochelle and Clermont, another powerhouse of French club rugby, also only have one player each. According to Gustard, his team and players deserve more recognition. He highlights the talent of players like uncapped center Noah Néné, who has scored seven tries in 16 appearances, and full-back Léo Barré, who has won nine caps for France. However, Carbonel, a member of the triumphant France U20 side, has been in international limbo since July 2021.
