Judge Choudhury, presiding over the case, acknowledged that there was no evidence of coercion or violence; the teenagers had approached Osmani voluntarily after being refused service at another mosque. Consequently, the judge deemed it appropriate to impose a 15-week prison sentence, which is suspended for a period of 12 months.
