The protected witnesses who have come forward to provide fresh statements are crucial to the case, as they were present at the park or its immediate surroundings during the shooting. The sheer number of charges against Naveed Akram is staggering, with 78 offences including committing a terrorist act, 15 counts of murder, and 43 counts of attempted murder.
